The wooden statue of Our Lady of Walsingham at the Cathedral was carved in the early 1980s by an Indiana artist.  It is unique in that the shrine setting was created by the same artist who carved the statue, making it all one work.  Unlike most Walsingham statues, it is not painted, but has a beautiful natural finish accented with gilding.  It is one of the larger statues of Our Lady of Walsingham.
